I know the times have changed since I was a young man but I must say for someone not to be employed in this time and space seems nearly impossible. There are approximately 10 million help wanted signs in this country but no one seems interested. Admittedly a lot of these are in the service industry but one might be surprised the wages they're now offering plus many have sign on bonuses. I was brought up with a strong work ethic many times holding 2 or three jobs. I've been in several professions over the years until I finally settled on broadcasting and still I work part time as an umpire. The situation really struck me as I've seen businesses shortening their hours for lack of workers, even the Iowa State Fair had to cut back on some attractions for lack of personnel. Now with the Delta virus spreading so fast it seems some just aren't ready to return to work, I don't, once again, quite get it
