Christmas Music Overload

Being known as a news talk station should naturally preclude me from addressing any playing of Christmas Music, but nay I tell you as for many years I start off my program with a song of the day. The day after Thanksgiving I give in to the holiday spirit by making that a song of the Christmas season. I am known to lean toward the classics, White Christmas, Santa Claus is Coming to Town, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer etc....I refuse to play The Singing Dogs, Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer and the Chirping Birds. I will mix in the Reverent songs of the season as we get closer to Christmas but at midnight on the 25th the holiday music shall rest until the day after Thanksgiving next year and not a day before. It's not that I'm a humbugger but believe in proper perspective and a time and space interpretation after all it is called Christmas Music.

It's the final game of the regular season as the Mountaineers of West Virginia visit Iowa State this Saturday.
