A portion of a widened S. Duff Ave. in Ames reopened Friday. The city says vehicle traffic is allowed on the roadway from Jewel Dr. to Ken Maril Rd. Despite the reopening, the city warns drivers that temporary lane closures will still happen as a traffic signal at Crystal St. and shared use path in the area are installed. Also, the city says 13th St. from Ridgewood to Curtiss Ave. won't open Friday as initially projected. Weather and construction delays have put the first phase of the project two to four days behind schedule.
