Ames officials watch sky, streams

Ames Water and Pollution Control director says area waterways are in their banks...for now.  John Dunn says the forecast for heavy rain across the next 12- to 24-hours could put the Squaw Creek and Skunk River in similar flood condtions as they were in after 6.5 inches of rain fell on the area last Thursday. Se says it's hard to say how rain in the forecast for the rest of the week will effect area streams.  The forecast for through Sunday maintains at least a 50 percent chance of rain each day.
