Ames is again home to Iowa's best burger. The Iowa Cattlemen's Association and Iowa Beef Industry Council say Cafe Beaudelaire in Campustown won this year's contest. Judges praised the burger for its taste and quality, calling the hand-made certified Angus beef patty seasoned with salt, pepper and oregano "nothing short of amazing." Another Ames restaurant, Brick City Grill, won the inaugural "Best Burger Contest" in 2014.
