Evans to stay at Ames High

At least one administrator in the Ames School District will be around for the next school year.  High School principal Spence Evans won't be the new superintendent of the Washington, Iowa school district.  Evans was one of two finalists for the job, and went through a final interview last week.  Ultimately, William Stone--the shared superintendent of Southwest Valley Community Schools in Corning and Villisca got the job.  Ames superintendent Tim Taylor, Deputy Superintendent Mandy Ross, high school assistant principal Make Avise, and Edwards elementary principal David Peterson are all leaving the school district after the end of the current school year.
