Corbett appeals ballot exclusion

A Polk County judge will hear a case involving Republican candidate for governor Ron Corbett Tuesday.  Corbett is asking the judge to review a decision last week  by three state officials that said he was eight signatures short of qualifying for the June primary election ballot.  Lawyers for Corbett say campaign staff accidentally crossed off eight valid signatures, so they should be counted.  The former Cedar Rapids mayor wants to challenge Governor Kim Reynolds in the GOP primary.
