The cost of a gallon of regular gas in Iowa is down $.03 from a week ago. Triple A says prices in the state equal the national average of $2.52 a gallon. The highest price at the pump is in Dubuque at $2.61 while drivers in Council Bluffs pay the lowest average price at $2.41. Texas posts the lowest average price in the country at $2.25 for a gallon of regular gas.
