Chitty seeks re-election to County Board

Story County Supervisor Martin Chitty is running for re-election.  The Nevada Republican announced Tuesday he's running for a full four-year term. Chitty was appointed to the board in 2016 after Supervisor Paul Toot's death. That year Chitty was elected to fill the remainder of Toot's term.  In an news release announing his bid, Chitty pointed toward his work in crafting balanced budgets, helping provide regional mental health services and advocating for road and bridge improvements. Chitty joins fellow Republican Rick Sanders seeking re-election in November. Democrat Linda Murken, who lost to Chitty in 2016, is also running.
