A republican candidate for governor says he would support sports betting in Iowa. Cedar Rapids Mayor Ron Corbett says if the U.S. Supreme Court strikes down a law barring sports wagering he would use money generated by sports betting to fund mental health care. Corbett says the Iowa Lottery would be the best place to offer legalized sports betting, but casinos could play a role as well.
