UnitedHealthcare of the River Valley will have more than 200,000 new patients come December 1st. That comes after Department of Human Services officials says that the company's getting the patients affected by AmeriHealth Caritas Iowa's decision to exit the state's Medicaid program. The change affects nearly 215,000 people, but if they want to be served by AmeriGroup Iowa, they must declare that by November 16th.
