AFSCME members recertify union

The union that represents the largest number of state employees is claiming victory on the recertification elections across the state. The American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees Local 61 says 100 percent of it's covered state and local workers voted to recertify AFSCME to represent them in elections that were held in recent weeks.  But the union says a "rigged ballot" caused one unit representing four employees to be decertified by a single vote.  Still, AFSCME Council 61 president Danny Homan says he's proud of their members and leaders "who stepped up to vote."  Overall about 16 unions failed to get enough votes to be re-certified.
