Rain slows Iowa harvest

Rainy weather last week slowed the harvest in Iowa. The latest USDA crop report shows 13 percent of corn has been harvested, which is about two weeks behind schedule. Thirty-two percent of soybeans have been harvested, which is also behind schedule. Only farmers in east-central Iowa have harvested more than 50 percent of their soybean crop. Farmers were only able to get about two days of field work in last week. Deputy Iowa Agriculture Secretary Mike Naig says this week's weather should be much better for harvest activity.
