Ames School District responds to band protest

The Ames School District is speaking out regarding the recent actions of some marching band members at a football game.  Thirteen Ames High band members didn't participate in the National Anthem after they walked off the field on Friday.  That led to a statement from the school district Monday praising the students for their actions, saying they were unified.  The district said noone in the crowd booed as the band players left the field.
