Senate sexual harassment case settled

A sexual harassment case involving a former staffer for Iowa Senate Republicans is over. $1.75 million is going to Kirsten Anderson and her attorney after a settlement was approved by the State Appeal Board Tusday. State Auditor Mary Mosiman apologized for the settlement, saying government officials should never tolerate harassment. A jury originally awarded Anderson $2.2 million in July, but the state appealed and that's what led to the settlement. Anderson will personally get just over $1 million.
