The Ames Police Department reminds drivers that ongoing improvements to the I-35-Hwy. 30 interchange will close another off-ramp. Cmdr. Geoff Huff says the northbound I-35 ramp to 30 East is out of commission. He says a detour follows Hwy. 30 west to Dayton Ave. South then back to Hwy. 30 eastbound. Huff says the closure is part of ongoing work to add fly-over lanes to the interchange that will make it safer and more efficient. The Iowa Department of Transportation says the ramp will be closed up to six weeks, weather permitting.
