Iowa joins DACA suit

Iowa is one of 15 states suing to stop President Trump from ending the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals policy. Iowa Attorney General Tom Miller says he joined the lawsuit filed in New York because ending the DACA program would hurt Iowa's young people. Miller says nearly 2,800 DACA recipients in Iowa would be affected if Trump is allowed to end the program. Miller says terminating DACA violates the equal protection and due process clauses of the constitution.
