ISU officials lay out tuition plan

Iowa State University's five year tuition plan calls for an increase in resident undergraduate tuition of seven percent a year. Interim President Benjamin Allen presented the plan to the Board of Regents Tuition Task Force Wednesday in Ames. He says it would add about $520 to base tuition beginning next fall and about $685 by 2022. He also proposed a four percent annual increase for nonresident undergraduates. The task force heard a proposal from University of Northern Iowa officials this week, and is scheduled to hear from the University of Iowa Monday.
