Democrat governor candidates gather in Des Moines

The candidates for the Democratic nomination for Iowa governor are trying to convince the party faithful to vote for them.  Almost all of the candidates spoke at the party's Hall of Fame Dinner in Des Moines Thursday with a primary that's less than a year away.  State Senator Nate Boulton listed the issues he's stood up for while in the Legislature including collective bargaining rights.  Businessman Fred Hubbell recalled his experience as a young person trying to make ends meet. Former party chairwoman Andy McGuire talked about health care and her support for Planned Parenthood.
