Iowa gas prices below national average

Gas prices in Iowa are a penny lower than the national average. Triple A says Iowans are paying an average of $2.28 cents for a gallon of regular. The national average is $2.29. Drivers in Davenport and Waterloo-Cedar Falls are paying the lowest price at the pump at $2.20. Des Moines continues to lead Iowa's metro areas with the highest prices, averaging $2.31 a gallon. Cedar Rapids follows at $2.27.
