A member of the Ames City Council won't run for re-election. Third Ward representative Peter Orazem says he won't run in this fall's election. Orazem is in his second term on the council. He was first elected as an at-large member in 2009 then elected in the Third Ward in 2013. Orazem, an Iowa State University economics professor, says in his statement he's "grateful" to fellow council members, city staff and residents for their "interaction and support".
