Trial Set For Accused Campustown Shooters

The four men charged in a drive-by shooting in Campustown will go to trial May 9th. Nineteen-year-old Desmon Siner, 20-year-olds Terrion Maxfield and Charles Smith, and 21-year-old Traveion Henry are each charged with two counts of attempted murder, intimidation with a dangerous weapon and willful injury. Ames police say the shooting happened after they broke up a fight early in the morning of February 19th. A red car pulled up and fired into a crowd, injuring three people. Two officers returned fire, apparently injuring Maxfield and Siner. If convicted, the suspects face up to 25 years in prison for attempted murder and up to 10 years for the other charges. All four men remain in the Story County jail on $200,000 bond.
