Iowa House bars local minimum wages

A measure getting rid of local minimum wage hikes is heading to the Iowa Senate.  The House Thursday passed the bill that would keep iowa's minimum wage at $7.25 an hour.  It also prevents city and county governments from passing measures like plastic bag bans.  The minimum wage provision would affect workers in Linn, Johnson, Polk, and Wapello counties as they have passed minimum wage hikes.
