State lawmaker shreds bill--literally

Republican state representative Bobby Kaufmann is not a fan of a bill put forward by Governor Branstad. Kaufmann held a subcommittee hearing on licensure reform Monday where opponents expressed reservations about the bill. Kaufmann then ripped and tore the bill to pieces after testimony concluded. Social workers, barbers, and people working in some other professions would've no longer needed to get licenses if the bill had passed.
