Winter weather returning to Iowa

A stretch of milder temperatures will come to an end with big changes forecast for the next 36 hours across much of the state. Sunshine will give way to clouds and a storm front Thursday afternoon that will dump several inches of snow in northwest Iowa before moving east. A winter storm advisory is already in effect for the northwestern counties. Central Iowa could see one to three inches of snow after some rainfall. Southern counties aren't expected to see any snow.
